SUZANNE HARWARD xo

Can this lady do any wrong. We LOVE the new look 40th Anniversary Capsule Collection by SUZANNE HARWARD…… And what better way to celebrate then share with you the to die for new collection.

Recently we ventured out to Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel to view the collection and boy did the girls put on a spectacular show. Gowns lining the walls, and a view to die for. We had a great talk to the girls about their recent shoot, their  old but new faced boutique and the shoots. Read below for what they had to say.

We are sure you will love some of these gowns just as much as we do.

Love LS xo

The iconic Australian couture label has been lovingly making couture bridal gowns by hand in Melbourne for 40 years and for the past 10 years this building has been their home.

The team have been very busily (and quietly!) working away behind the scenes on the refurbishment of their 4 level headquarters building in the bustling inner-city neighbourhood of Collingwood, Melbourne’s garment district. The iconic Australian couture label has been lovingly making couture bridal gowns by hand in Melbourne for 40 years and for the past 10 years this building has been their home.

Creative Director Brooke Harward explains, “We have long had a vision of inviting our clients to share this space with us and live their haute couture experience in the same building where the gowns are designed and created. Our Sydney Trunk Shows will continue for interstate clients while Melbourne brides will get to experience the fun and relaxed atmosphere of Studio 73.”

The Capsule Collection is a refreshing and much needed injection of fun and whimsical romance to the world of Australian bridal fashion. Featuring effortlessly cool silhouettes for the fashionable bride who is comfortable in her own skin.
A carefully curated edit of fashion-forward bridal gowns with all styles catered for from modern edge to bohemian whimsy. Impossibly cool unstructured pieces that speak to the hearts of women with an authentic and unashamed free spirit. Lace, long sleeves, two pieces, illusion backs and necklines and even a jumpsuit, this collection has every personality covered!
The Capsule Collection campaign features bombshell Australian model Brooke Hogan and oozes urban cool with gold leaf make up accents and gorgeous jewels by Melbourne based hand made fine jewellery label Misuzi. The Misuzi range will be stocked at Studio 73 and can be customised making for the perfect stylish gift for bridesmaids and brides alike.
Each capsule collection piece is hand made in the Melbourne studio to ensure the unsurpassed quality of a Suzanne Harward gown is never compromised. The label is passionate about their slow approach to fashion.
“For forty years we have hand made all of our gowns under our own roof in Melbourne. We couldn’t call our gowns couture if they were mass-produced and we are so incredibly proud of honouring this ethos for four decades despite continued pressure to produce off shore to compete with the growing number of bridal labels in Australia. We are nurturing up and coming talent to carry on the art of couture in Australia,” Brooke Harward explains.

The Suzanne Harward 40th Anniversary Capsule Collection will be available world wide through the labels online store from Monday 15 December and in-store at Studio 73. Prices start from just $4500 online for Australian made couture. Bookings can be made by calling 03 8415 0688
